A tale, a yarn, a story
It’s a wondrous thing
To live in rags or glory
Or in a fairy ring…
Our children programs are interactive to fully engage the children in the journey of the story. It gives them ownership and helps them to retain what they have heard. Time and time again the teachers say, “I can’t believe how well and how long they sat.”
Why a Storyteller?
Without books the storyteller breathes life into literature and allows the imagination to take over. Wrap history or problem solving in a story and they will remember and understand so much easier.
Other benefits for storytelling:
- Increased attention span
- Improve listening skills
- Encourages imagination and creativity
- Repetition increases memory
- Instills positive values
Barb tells stories of all types for all ages. Folktales, fairy tales, International stories, Historical to name a few. Programs will be customized to suit your needs.
I know the children enjoyed your visit immensely, however, I honestly think I enjoyed you the most! You truly are a gifted, skilled storyteller and it was such a pleasure watching you and the kids in action together!” Kunert, teacher
“I love to see the kids mesmerized by a story in this age of modern technology. I am glad storytelling is not a lost art. Barb Vollick is an amazing storyteller keeping this art form alive for kids today.”

I cannot thank you enough for coming this year to share your stories. You are such a blessing to all of us. The families who came all loved the stories. It was also a great opportunity for us to work on building a community. If you’d ever like to test out your stories on us again we’d all be thrilled!
