About my Programs

My 45-60 min programs are interactive and will keep your residents engaged and entertained! I will customize the stories and program content to suit the interests of your seniors.  All programs include stories humor, and an opportunity to sing a long to familiar music.  I always have a prop or two to add to the fun and enhance the sensory experience. To personalize our time together residents are encouraged to handle the props and share their ideas. My goal is to stimulate and evoke memories but most importantly to brighten their day and leave them smiling.

Storytelling for Children
Our children programs are interactive to fully engage the children in the journey of the story. It gives them ownership and helps them to retain what they have heard.  Time and time again the teachers say, “I can’t believe how well and how long they sat.” Learn More

Time for Tea
Although this program is traditionally used to celebrate Mother’s Day, it is also a wonderful way to celebrate birthdays, anniversaries, and garden parties.  I will tailor the content to suit the occasion. I arrive dressed for a party in my Historical Heritage Dress and Hat, basket on my arm. The basket holds teatime memories. As I pull out the contents one by one I share a story or a memory. There is always laughter, heartwarming stories and an opportunity to sing some of their favorite songs.

Many of our elderly grew up with church as a vital part of their lives. Faith gives hope and strength when life is uncertain. This program has been very popular with  seniors. The Bible is rich in stories that beg to be told; these bring familiar comfort. I also include stories of wisdom drawn from the Amish and some Jewish folktales. It is a delightful hour rounded out by singing along to favorite old hymns.
